Privacy Policy (Galmet)

This Privacy Policy explains what information Galmet (“we”, “our”, “us”) collects when you use the Galmet app, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

Account and profile: when you sign in, we process account identifiers (for example a unique user ID). If you sign in with Google, we receive basic Google account information (like your email and name) as provided by Google Sign-In. You can also add profile details such as username/nickname, gender, age/date of birth, region/country, bio, and a profile photo.

Photos you upload: profile photos and chat images you choose to send are uploaded and stored (for example in cloud storage) so you and other users can view them.

Chats and user content: messages you send (text, images, gifts) and related chat information (for example unread counts and “last message”) are stored so chat features work.

Calls (audio/video): if you start a call, the app uses camera and microphone. We store call-related records needed to connect calls and handle coins/gems billing (for example call room IDs, call requests, call duration, and transaction records). Video/audio is provided through a third-party calling SDK (Agora).

Location (optional): if you allow location permission, the app can detect your country for your profile. If you choose “Unknown”, we do not show your country. The app may store country plus latitude/longitude when you choose to share it.

Device/technical: device and network information (such as device model, OS/app version, IP address, and identifiers) used for security, preventing abuse, and basic app operation.

Notifications: if you enable notifications, we may store a push notification token for your account so we can deliver notifications.

Support and feedback: information you send us through feedback/support (for example messages and screenshots if you attach them).

How we use information

We use information to:

- create and manage accounts, profiles, chats, calls, and in-app features (coins, gifts, gems, leaderboards)

- upload and show user content you choose to share (profile photos and chat images)

- process in-app “virtual items” activity (coins spent, gifts sent, gems earned) and keep transaction history inside the app

- deliver notifications (if you enable them)

- keep the service secure and prevent fraud, spam, and abuse (including blocking/reporting)

- review reports, moderate content, and enforce community safety rules

- improve the app, fix bugs, and provide customer support

- comply with legal obligations where required

Sharing of information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to run the app:

- Cloud services: we use servers and cloud services (including databases, cloud storage, and messaging) to store and deliver core app features.

- Calling: we use Agora to enable audio/video calls.

- Purchases: in-app purchases are processed through third-party platforms such as Google Play. We do not receive your full payment card details.

- Legal and safety: we may share information if required by law or to protect users, the public, and Galmet (for example, investigating abuse reports).

We may review reported content or account activity to investigate abuse, fraud, harassment, or violations of our policies.

When you message or call other users, your profile info and content you share may be visible to them.

Your choices

Access / update: you can review and update some account details in the app.

Delete your account: you can request account deletion by emailing us at teamgalmet@gmail.com. We will take reasonable steps to delete or anonymize your information, although some records may be retained where required for legal, security, fraud prevention, or operational purposes.

Location: you can deny location permission or choose to keep your location as “Unknown”.

Camera/photos/microphone/notifications: you can control these permissions in your device settings. Some features (calls, profile photo, sending images, notifications) require permission to work.

Data retention

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the App, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our policies. Retention periods can vary depending on the type of information and how it is used.

Data security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Illegal content, harassment, exploitation, impersonation, pornography involving minors, and other harmful activity are strictly prohibited on Galmet.

Children’s privacy

Galmet is not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

International transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than where you live (for example, where our service providers operate). We take steps to apply appropriate safeguards as required by applicable law.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and change the effective date.
